Membership & Auditions

How does one join the choir? Can anyone sit in on a rehearsal? What are auditions like?

We have two performance seasons: one in the fall/winter, and one in the spring. The season starts at the end of August and runs into the following June. The Christmas season is the busiest time of the year.

Are You Interested?

If you are interested in joining The Boeing Employees Choir, we invite you to come to a rehearsal to see for yourself if we would be a good fit for you. After you have had a chance to sample a rehearsal or two, you are eligible to audition.

Rehearsals are held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. every Tuesday evening at Oxbow Recreation Center, just southwest of Boeing Field. The building is a secure facility, so you need to let us know you are coming and we will make the appropriate arrangements. For more information about joining the group, contact our President (remove "(nospam" from the address before sending).

Because most of our choir members are not professional singers, we have to work hard to achieve the level of excellence we have set for ourselves.

Choir members are selected by an open audition process that primarily takes place during September. From time to time we will hold auditions to replenish our ranks during the year. All singers are eligible, but some priority is given to those associated with The Boeing Company. Final selection of new members rests with the music director as he is responsible for maintaining the blend and balance of the voices in the choir.

Members pay annual membership dues.
