    According to its participants, the Boeing Employees Choir June 2005 launch of Sing for Life was a fantastic success. Choral students at Tahoma Middle School evaluated the experience and rated it an A+, with more than 75 percent agreeing that “It was a great experience, and I would do it again.”

  • Kysar Keynote Award Proclamation

    The award was established in 1994 to honor both our long-time conductor and the outstanding members of the choir.

    Whereas The Boeing Employees Choir is a vital entity in the Puget Sound region, and

    Whereas The Boeing Employees Choir's musical contributions have earned it the reputation as a premier choral group, and

    Whereas The Boeing Employees Choir recognizes that the energy, devotion and talent of its director has been the significant factor in its success for the past fourteen years, and

    Whereas The Boeing Employees Choir wishes to recognize his service in meaningful, long-lasting tribute;

    Be it therefore resolved that an annual award is hereby established.

    The Michael Kysar Keynote Award

    is to be bestowed upon a choir member selected for outstanding service.

    2005 - Norma King for Sing for Life's sucessful debut

    2004 - Sandy & Dick McElroy - for devotion and faithfulness

    2003 - Jon Cannon for extraordinary leadership

    2002 - Ron Dorband & John Purvis for photography and marketing
    2001 - Dave Doering for securing our IRS Non-Profit status
    2000 - Danete O'Neal for musicianship, and Lin Hughes for librarianship
    1999 - Tom Pfaff for helping with the internal Boeing Web site,
    and Maurice Spencer for serving as treasurer for the Australian concert tour
    1998 - Nancy Wright for obtaining our CD funding
    1997 - Gloria Ball for serving as choir historian
    1996 - Keith Hughes for serving as choir president
    1995 - Dwight Griswold for serving as president and organizing our German concert tour.
