These are the supporters back in the wings who do more than their share to make our organization "sing" on a logistical level.
* Bob King and Ron Dorband. When it comes time to record, make CDs and deliver Healing Prayers to those in need, these are the guys that step up.. It’s all on “automatic” when we ask for their help. Both of them make recordings for our other uses too. And on top of this, Bob stepped up to the take on the duties of vice president of marketing this year. Under duress, of course, but he’s doing a fine job. And Ron brings his special expertise with photography to the choir too.
* Joanne King is the star of our CD sales team. She’s Joanne evolved into our primary sales person. She knows our product and which CD to gently suggest if shoppers are hesitant. It goes without saying that she is precise and thorough with the bookkeeping part. The bottom line is, we don't worry about CD sales if Joanne's there.
* Curt Frank. He’s a regular sight at rehearsals and he has come to be extremely helpful in the back of the room at concerts and appearances. He doesn’t even mind missing the concerts if we need him to watch the purses and valuables. He’s the guy who wears shorts summer and winter. But in respect, he says, to Mike and the choir, he dons long pants for our public appearances. Now that makes him extra special to us.
* Dean Renick, thanks for being our faithful enpaginator expeditor. He’s flexible, and cool in sharing the responsibility with John and pleasant to work with. We appreciate Dean's faithful efforts, and we know that Danete does too.
* John Purvis continues to be everywhere and anywhere. Just last week he distinguished himself by getting us a different piano – 15 minutes before concert time. He's the raiser guy who handles CD sales and inventory and right now he’s doing double duty as treasurer while Tom Derbyshire is away in the old country.
* Sondra Woolett for her continuing contributions as our costume guru, She’s always there with needle and thread, aspirin, you name it, and we have made a dramatic impression on our audiences this holiday season with our new scarves, cummerbunds and bowties.. Please accept our thanks for all the work you do, keeping the material inventory and maintaining the earring collection. Sondra is also board secretary and she's had a tough year physically, so we appreciate her hanging in there with us.
• Amy Hughes is our librarian, who’s work with our music is just the tip of the iceberg. This year she put in untold hours trying to get our 2006 tour of Great Britain off the ground. She worked with the contractor and developed several itineraries for us to consider. We appreciate her extra efforts in our behalf. We know that “training” will be put to good use when we next set a tour date. Thanks Amy for all your work! Amy is first to see opportunities to be thoughtful. She’s a self starter who can't be beat in organizing and developing plans.
“Thanks to you, the Boeing Employees Choir works on every level,” said choir president Dave Foss as he made the awards. And this year, as the demands of this unfamiliar job kept me in the learner’s chair, I take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding – and support.”
