    According to its participants, the Boeing Employees Choir June 2005 launch of Sing for Life was a fantastic success. Choral students at Tahoma Middle School evaluated the experience and rated it an A+, with more than 75 percent agreeing that “It was a great experience, and I would do it again.”

    Boeing Employees Choir Bids Farewell to Michael Kysar

    After 28 years as musical director of the Boeing Employees Choir, Michael Kysar will be stepping down at the end of this season. He directs his final concert at King of Kings Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 16. Admission is free and the public is invited. A reception will follow.

    2005 Standing Ovation Awards Presented to Eight Supporters

    The choir’s Standing Ovations Awards were given out to eight individuals at the annual Christmas party December 17, held at the home of Danete O’Neil.

    Norma King Receives 2005 Keynote Award

    Norma King was presented with the 2005 Kysar Keynote Award for her role in launching Sing for Life. The award, presented December 17, was the highlight of our annual Christmas get together.

    Dresden's Frauenkirche Opens With Help from The Boeing Employees Choir

    October 30, 2005 -- Some 60,000 people celebrated the reopening of Dresden's restored baroque cathedral Sunday -- 60 years after Allied bombs destroyed the 18th-century church and its famed bell-shaped dome during World War II.

    After visiting Coventry, England in 1988, we wanted to visit Dresden. Both cities were severely damaged during World War II.

    Congratulations to Dick and Sandy McElroy, joint recipients of the 2004 Michael Kysar Keynote Award, bestowed at our annual recognition party December 12, 2004.

    Boeing Employees Choir Goes Down Under for Summer 1999 Tour

    Singing our way from an urban soup kitchen to the Sydney Opera House, The Boeing Employees Choir made new friends for Boeing on a two-week tour of Australia and New Zealand in July, 1999.
